Hair By Gity Brand and Website Design
We built a cohesive visual identity and website for Hair By Gity, a Houston hairstyling brand, replacing inconsistent social-first presence with a refined, feminine system that communicates trust and professionalism from the first impression.

Overview
Hair By Gity is a Houston-based hairstyling brand built around trust, consistency, and a personalized client experience. With over two decades of industry experience, the business had earned a loyal following through referrals and repeat clientele, but its visual presentation had not kept pace with the quality of the services being delivered.
The project called for a complete brand identity and website that would accurately reflect the maturity and professionalism of the business while remaining feminine, elegant, and immediately accessible to new clients.
Challenges
The business was operating without a cohesive visual system. Presentation was fragmented across platforms, and the overreliance on social media as the primary digital presence left the brand without a centralized, credible home.
The beauty industry compounds this problem. Generic salon branding dominates the competitive landscape, full of templated visuals, overused scissors and hair iconography, and trend-driven aesthetics. Standing out meant developing an identity that felt elevated and timeless rather than disposable.
From a digital perspective, potential clients needed frictionless access to services, booking, location, and trust-building content. The previous setup introduced unnecessary friction at each of those touchpoints.
Objectives
The project had several interconnected goals. First, create a cohesive premium brand identity that felt mature, feminine, and scalable. Second, establish a centralized professional website that replaced social media as the primary client discovery and booking channel. Third, differentiate the business from generic salon branding with a visual system that had staying power.
The broader goal was to align the visual experience with the actual quality of the service, so that first impressions matched what existing clients already knew.
Solutions
Brand identity design
We developed a refined identity system around softness, restraint, and editorial-inspired elegance. Rather than relying on common salon cliches, the visual direction focused on creating something more mature and timeless.
The logo system combined refined serif typography, botanical linework, and a circular enclosure element with a deliberately incomplete frame. That open-circle gesture introduced fluidity and a personal, organic quality that corporate lockup styles do not carry. Botanical illustration details added warmth and femininity without overpowering the typography.
Typography hierarchy was a central design decision. “Gity” carries the dominant visual weight while “Hair by” serves as supporting context, reinforcing the concept of a personal stylist brand rather than a traditional salon storefront. The overall system stays intentionally restrained, allowing spacing and atmosphere to create premium perception rather than decoration.
Website design and development
The website was built to prioritize clarity and accessibility. Services, booking, contact, location, and gallery content are all reachable without friction. The visual identity system carries through the digital experience so that the brand reads consistently whether a client finds the business through social media, search, or a referral.
Mobile-responsive optimization and gallery integration were delivered as part of the full-stack build, ensuring the site performs across all devices and presents the client’s work effectively.

The identity balanced femininity and elegance without relying on overly decorative salon aesthetics, helping the business feel more mature and refined within a competitive local market.
The website replaced the fragmented social-only digital presence with a centralized professional platform, giving clients clear access to services, booking, and gallery content without friction.
The unified visual and digital system reduced fragmentation across the website, social media, customer communication, and marketing materials, aligning the company’s presentation with the quality of services being delivered.
Assessment
This project illustrates how closely brand identity and web design are connected for service businesses that run on referral and local reputation. A polished logo system that does not extend coherently into a professional website leaves trust gaps at exactly the moment a new client is deciding whether to book. Hair By Gity needed both systems designed together, and the outcome is a presentation that now matches what existing clients have always experienced in person.
