Who We Are

Desque, LLC ("Desque," "we," "us," or "our") is a Texas limited liability company based in Houston, Texas. We design custom websites, build brand identities, and help businesses get found through SEO and AI search.

This Privacy Policy applies to this website only. It explains what information we collect when you visit or contact us here, how we use it, and the choices you have. This site has no user accounts, sells no products, and processes no payments. Client projects are governed by separate written agreements, not this policy.

Information We Collect

Information you give us

The only personal information you provide on this site comes through two forms:

  • Contact form: your name, company (optional), email address, phone number, the service you select, and your message.
  • Quote form: your name, email address, phone number (optional), current website (optional), project timeline, the service you select, budget range, and your message.

Both forms include a hidden honeypot field and a Cloudflare Turnstile check to block spam bots. The honeypot collects nothing from real visitors.

Information collected automatically

When you browse the site, our analytics and hosting providers automatically collect standard usage data: device and browser type, pages visited, referring site, approximate location derived from your IP address, and the date and time of your visit. Our host, Netlify, also processes standard server access logs.

Cookies and similar technologies

Described in the next section.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

  • Google Analytics sets cookies and shares usage data (including device information and IP-derived data) with Google to help us understand traffic and how the site is used. Google's practices are described in the Google Privacy Policy. Google Analytics is active by default and continues collecting data until you decline it (via the banner or the "Your Privacy Choices" control) or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal.
  • Pirsch Analytics is cookieless. It gives us aggregate traffic statistics without personal profiles, persistent identifiers, or cross-site tracking.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile runs a bot check on our forms and may set a challenge token in your browser. Turnstile is governed by the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
  • Browser localStorage: the site saves your theme and typography preferences, your analytics consent choice (key: privacyConsent), and, on the home page only, a saved color scheme in your browser's localStorage. This data stays on your device, is never transmitted to us or anyone else, and is not used for tracking. It is not a cookie. Clearing your browser data removes it.

How We Use Information

  • Respond to your inquiries and prepare quotes
  • Provide and plan the services you ask about
  • Send occasional marketing or follow-up communications (written and sent manually — we do not use an email marketing platform)
  • Understand site traffic and improve the site
  • Protect the site against spam, bots, and abuse
  • Comply with legal obligations

Marketing Communications

If you contact us, we may follow up on your inquiry and occasionally reach out about our services. You can opt out at any time by replying to any message from us or emailing support@thedesque.com. We will stop promptly.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only in these situations:

  • Service providers that run this site: Basin (usebasin.com) receives, delivers, and stores form submissions; Cloudflare provides Turnstile bot protection; Pirsch Analytics and Google Analytics provide website analytics; and Netlify hosts the site and processes server logs. Each provider processes data only to perform its service.
  • Legal and safety: when required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Desque, our visitors, or others.
  • Business transfer: if Desque is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

Data Retention

We keep form submissions and related correspondence as long as needed to handle your inquiry and maintain our business relationship, and as required to meet legal, accounting, or record-keeping obligations. After that, we delete or anonymize the information.

Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information, including HTTPS encryption across the site, reputable service providers, and limits on who can access submissions. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Privacy Rights

California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you live in California, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect and access a copy of it
  • Ask us to delete your personal information
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate personal information
  • Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell personal information for money, but Google Analytics cookie data may qualify as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law — you can opt out as described under Your Privacy Choices below.
  • Exercise these rights without discrimination

We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals as a valid opt-out of sale and sharing.

Texas residents (TDPSA)

If you live in Texas, you have the right to:

  • Confirm whether we process your personal data and access it
  • Correct inaccuracies in your personal data
  • Delete personal data you provided or that we obtained about you
  • Obtain a portable copy of your personal data
  • Opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, and profiling

If we decline to act on your request, you may appeal by emailing support@thedesque.com with "Appeal" in the subject line. We will respond to appeals within the time required by law. If your appeal is denied, you may contact the Texas Attorney General.

How to exercise your rights

Email support@thedesque.com. We will verify your identity — usually by confirming you control the email address tied to your submission — and respond within the timelines required by applicable law (generally 45 days, extendable where the law allows).

Your Privacy Choices

  • Analytics cookies and targeted advertising: you can opt out of Google Analytics by blocking cookies in your browser or using Google's opt-out tools. The site shows a consent banner on your first visit and a "Your Privacy Choices" control in the footer that you can use anytime to accept or decline analytics cookies; your choice is honored site-wide.
  • Declining stops Google Analytics from collecting further data, but any analytics cookies already set may remain in your browser until they expire; you can clear them via your browser settings.
  • Global Privacy Control: we treat a GPC signal from your browser as a valid opt-out of sale, sharing, and targeted advertising.
  • Pirsch and localStorage require no opt-out — Pirsch collects no personal profiles, and localStorage preferences never leave your device.

Children's Privacy

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has submitted information through our forms, email us and we will delete it.

Third-Party Links

This site links to external websites, including our social profiles and portfolio references. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. The date always reflects the latest revision.
