Heatwave Houston Brand and Website Design
We rebuilt Heatwave Houston from a low-resolution logo file into a production-ready brand system and a full website designed to convert Instagram traffic into real client relationships.

Table of Contents
Overview
Heatwave Houston is a Houston-based personal training brand built around online coaching, mobile-first engagement, and community presence on Instagram. The business had cultivated a strong following through reels and visual content, but lacked the digital infrastructure to convert that audience into clients.
The project combined logo reconstruction, a phased website build, and foundational SEO work to give the brand a professional home that could support both active marketing campaigns and long-term positioning.
Challenges
The original logo existed only as a low-resolution raster file, making it unusable across professional digital and print contexts. At smaller sizes, such as Instagram profile icons, the full lockup degraded to the point of losing legibility.
At the same time, the business was preparing to launch advertising campaigns on Instagram and needed a landing destination immediately. Waiting for a complete website build would have meant delaying active campaigns, so timing became a real operational constraint.
The deeper issue was positioning. Without a proper website, traffic arriving from social channels had nowhere credible to land. The brand had social proof but no centralized platform to hold it together.
Objectives
- Launch a campaign-ready landing page ahead of active advertising efforts
- Build a scalable website foundation for long-term growth
- Reconstruct the logo into a production-ready asset system
- Improve brand consistency across social platforms and mobile environments
- Establish a credible digital presence beyond Instagram alone
Solutions
We approached this in two focused phases rather than attempting a full simultaneous launch.
The first phase delivered a dedicated landing page ahead of the client’s campaign rollout. Optimized for mobile responsiveness, fast load performance, and clear navigation, it gave incoming Instagram traffic a professional destination while the broader site was still in development. This let the business begin running campaigns immediately without delay.
The second phase evolved the landing page into a complete website covering online personal training, gender-specific program pages, an about section, and a contact page. The architecture was designed for clarity and conversion, with a streamlined user flow that moved visitors from social engagement toward booking.
In parallel, we reconstructed the existing logo entirely. The original file was recreated as a fully scalable vector system with primary, light, dark, and orange colorway lockups, as well as simplified iconic marks for favicon and social profile use. The iconic versions solved a specific usability problem: the full lockup lost legibility at small sizes, and Instagram in particular required a simplified mark that still carried clear brand recognition.
SEO and GEO foundations were implemented during development, covering structured page hierarchy, metadata, mobile optimization, and performance, to position the platform for future discoverability without requiring structural rebuilds later.
The website
The final site covers every core service the business offers, with dedicated pages for women, men, and online training. Each page is built for mobile-first audiences arriving from Instagram, with an experience intentionally designed to minimize friction and keep attention.

The brand identity
We did not originally design the Heatwave Houston logo. The existing mark was reconstructed from a low-resolution file into a complete scalable system, with full lockups in primary, light, dark, and orange colorways, alongside simplified iconic marks for Instagram and favicon use.
Primary full lockup on light background.
Deliverables
- Campaign landing page design and development
- Full website design and development (five pages)
- Mobile-responsive optimization
- Performance and SEO/GEO foundations
- Logo vectorization and full asset system reconstruction
- Primary, light, dark, and orange colorway full lockups
- Primary, light, dark, and orange colorway iconic marks
- Favicon design and social media icon variations
- SVG, PNG, and PDF export files
Results
Launching the landing page ahead of the campaign rollout let the business begin running Instagram promotions immediately, without waiting for the full site to be complete. The phased approach kept marketing momentum moving while the broader platform was developed in parallel.
The reconstructed logo system gave the brand production-ready assets for the first time, with scalable vector files across all major formats and colorways. The simplified iconic marks resolved the Instagram legibility problem the original lockup created at small sizes.
The completed website gives the business a credible, centralized platform to receive and convert traffic from social campaigns, with purpose-built pages for each service offering.
Assessment
This project is a good example of how phased delivery can be more strategically effective than waiting for a complete build before launching. Separating the work into a campaign-ready phase and a full expansion phase meant Heatwave Houston could move on its marketing timeline rather than its production timeline. The first phase solved urgency, the second solved positioning, and both problems were real.
The logo reconstruction work also points to something we encounter regularly with growing fitness brands: assets created informally early on become a liability once the business starts scaling across platforms. Rebuilding those assets professionally is often a prerequisite for everything else to look credible.
