Table of Contents

Web design is the service I run. My team and I design your site from a blank page, write the words on it, build it on Webflow, Shopify, or Astro, and hand you an editor you can run yourself.

A build comes in one of three packages, Essentials, Growth, and Authority, and the next section explains who each one’s for. After that, each item has its own heading, so use the table of contents to jump straight to the one you’re checking.

The three packages

  • Essentials — a starter site for a new business or a single offer. It’s built on one page layout and comes with everything labeled Every package in the table below.
  • Growth — a full site for a business that needs more leads. It’s built on four page layouts and adds a blog, a photo gallery, video, and Google Analytics setup.
  • Authority — your brand and your site designed together. It’s built on eight page layouts, includes everything in Growth, and adds our Essentials brand package, a UI kit, custom icons, and CMS training.

Every package

These ten come with every site, whether it’s one layout or eight.

Page layouts

A layout is a page design, not a single page. I design each one once, and it’ll run as many pages as you need.

  • Homepage layout — always its own design, because it does a job no other page does.
  • Service-page layout — one design runs every service, each page with its own words and photos.
  • About, contact, and location layouts — each designed for its own job, whether that’s building trust, getting the call, or covering a service area.

Custom homepage

Your homepage is designed around the one thing you want a visitor to do, whether that’s calling, asking for a quote, or ordering.

  • A headline that says what and where — your service and your area in one line.
  • Proof first — your best work on the first screen, before any menu.
  • One main action — the call or quote button in the header, the hero, and the footer.

Responsive design

Your customers mostly meet you on a phone. That’s why I design the phone screen first and widen it for tablet and desktop.

  • Thumb-sized buttons — every tap target sized for a thumb.
  • Readable without zooming — type set for a phone screen.

Copywriting

Every build includes the words on the pages. Our team writes them from a discovery call, and nothing gets built until you’ve approved every page. The full process is in our post on copywriting that sells the service.

  • Facts from you — services, service area, what sets you apart, and the questions customers ask.
  • One topic per page — written for a person first and a search engine second.
  • Your sign-off — up to two rounds of changes, and every page approved before it goes live.

Stock images

When you don’t have photos yet, our team fills the gaps with licensed stock. Your finished jobs are always your own photos.

  • Licensed and on file — the license is kept with your site files.
  • Easy to swap — replacing an image in the editor is an upload.
  • Or a real shoot — a Houston photo and video partner, booked through us.

On-page SEO

On-page SEO is the groundwork that lets Google read and understand every page. It’s all in place by launch day, ready for Google’s first visit.

  • A title and description on every page — written to the length Google shows.
  • Headings in the customer’s words — the main heading matches what people search.
  • Structured data — labels in the code that tell search engines your name, address, and services.
  • Sitemap submitted — Google gets the full list of pages the week the site goes live.

Page speed

A slow site loses the customer who’s about to call. Every page is built and tested against Google’s speed measures, called Core Web Vitals, before launch.

  • Images converted and sized — modern formats, one file per screen size.
  • Only what the design needs — no extra fonts or plugins running in the background.
  • Layout held steady — space reserved for images, so the page doesn’t jump while someone’s tapping.
  • Measured before launch — every page tested on a phone connection.

Custom contact form

The form asks only for what you’ll need to call back. If you need a more involved multi-step form to qualify leads or unlock a download, we can do that too.

  • Short — name, phone, email, and one question about the job.
  • Spam blocked quietly — no puzzle for your customer to solve.
  • Tap to call — on a phone, your number is a button next to the form.

SSL certificate

An SSL certificate puts the padlock in the browser bar and encrypts what visitors send you. It’s on every site at launch.

  • Every page on https — the old address redirects to the secure one.
  • No warnings — every page checked for a broken padlock before launch.

Site backup and security

Your platform keeps saved versions of the site. If an edit goes wrong, it’s easy to roll back.

  • Saved versions — restore a page or the whole site to an earlier point.
  • Logins with roles — the person who updates prices can’t delete the homepage.
  • Two-factor login — on the owner account.

Growth and Authority

Growth and Authority add four pieces, and they’re for businesses that publish, show off their work, or track where leads come from.

Blog page

A blog is where you’ll answer customer questions one post at a time.

  • Matches the site — the list page and the post layout use your design.
  • Built for search — a title and description field on every post.
  • Easy to publish — writing a post is a form in the editor.

A gallery shows your finished work in a layout that’s fast to load.

  • Captions that sell — the job, the neighborhood, and the service.
  • Light files — images sized for each screen and loaded as the visitor scrolls.
  • Yours to update — add a project by uploading photos and filling in the captions.

Embedded video

Video from YouTube or Vimeo plays right on the page and doesn’t slow it down. We can also host your videos ourselves, with no YouTube logo or suggested videos at the end.

  • Hosted off your pages — YouTube, Vimeo, or our own video hosting carries the file, so your page stays light.
  • Easy to change — swapping a video is pasting a link.

Google Analytics setup

GA4 is Google’s free report on who visits your site and what they do. On Growth and Authority, our team sets it up in your account with event and conversion tracking. On Essentials, it’s a one-line job you can do yourself by pasting your GA4 ID into the editor.

  • Your account — created under your Google login.
  • The actions that matter — form submissions, phone taps, quote requests, and orders.

Authority

On Authority, I design your brand and your site together, so they’ll match from day one. It includes the Essentials package from our brand design service, which our post on brand design for Houston businesses breaks down. You’ll leave with a full brand kit you can use well beyond the site.

Brand identity

It’s your positioning, colors, type, and a written guideline the site’s built on.

  • One look everywhere — the site, the sign, and your trucks.
  • Written down — a guideline anyone on your team can follow.

Logo design

It’s a mark that reads on a browser tab and a truck door.

  • Every version — full logo, stacked, and icon-only.
  • Every file — the formats a printer or sign shop asks for.

UI kit

It’s the style guide your pages are built from, which keeps new pages matching the old ones.

  • The building blocks — buttons, headings, forms, and spacing.
  • Future-proof — a new page uses the same parts.

Custom icons

They’re icons drawn to match your logo, for your services and features.

  • Matched to the logo — the same line weight and style.
  • Delivered as files — ready for the site and for print.

CMS training

A CMS is the editor behind your site. I walk you through yours until you’re comfortable making changes on your own.

  • A training session — a screen share where I show you the editor and everything you’ll need to know.
  • Linked guides — Webflow’s or Shopify’s own guides for the tasks you’ll do most.

How a build runs

Every build follows the same six steps, so you’ll always know where it stands.

  1. Discovery — what you do better than anyone bidding the same job and the one action you want visitors to take, which gives every page one clear job.
  2. Wireframes — a plain layout of each page, presented with the reasoning and approved with up to two rounds of changes, so the structure’s settled before anyone looks at colors.
  3. Design — I design each page in Figma and present it to you for approval, with up to two more rounds, while changes are still quick to make.
  4. Development — the approved design goes onto the platform picked in discovery, chosen for what your site has to do.
  5. Testing — speed, phone layout, browsers, and every form checked before launch, because your customers shouldn’t be the ones who find a bug.
  6. Launch — the site goes live and the logins are handed over in your name, making it yours from day one.

If you’d like to see a finished build, the Costa Custom Pools case study walks through every page of a build where consultation requests rose 40%.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a website build take?

Most sites take four to eight weeks from the first call to launch. If you’re in a bind, a site of a few pages can be expedited and done in as little as a week, but rush slots are limited and expediting adds to the cost. A store with a large product catalog can run ten to twelve weeks. Once the scope’s clear, you get a firm launch date instead of a range.

Which platform will my site be built on?

Webflow for service and content sites, Shopify for stores, and Astro for custom features. The platform’s picked once the job of the site is clear.

Astro is what our team uses when your site needs to do more than a visual editor allows. That’s connecting to a third-party API, like a booking system or your CRM, or automating work, like syncing inventory or routing new leads to the right person.

What do I need to provide?

Mostly an hour for the discovery call. Our team writes the copy, so you’ll only need to share your services, your service area, any photos you already have, and access to your domain. If you don’t have photos, we’ll fill the gaps with licensed stock, or I can book a Houston photography and video partner to shoot your work.

Can I edit the site myself after launch?

Yes. Every site runs on an editor you can open between jobs to change a price, a photo, or a phone number. The logins are created in your name, so it’s yours.
